What We Believe
Bible
We believe that the Bible is the authoritative, truthful, and perfect Word of God in which He has revealed everything we need to live a godly life.
Trinity
We believe that there is one living and true God and that He has eternally existed in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that these three persons are equal in divine perfection and that they perform distinct but harmonious roles in the work of creation, providence, and redemption (Gen 1.1,26; John 1.1,3; Matt 28.19; John 4.24; Rom 1.19-20; Eph4.5-6).
God the Father
We believe that God the Father has eternally existed being perfect in love, righteousness, holiness, and justice. He is the Father of all creation, mankind, and the one for whom we exist. He is the Father of Jesus who sent him into the world to accomplish redemption (1 Cor 8.6; John 3.16).
Jesus the Christ
Jesus is both fully God and fully human such that He never sinned. He, then, was able to be the perfect, once-for-all sacrifice that would remedy man’s sinful condition. However, only those who believe and turn from their sin will receive forgiveness. Right now He is reigning as the King of Kings and will return to consummate the new earth (John 5.24; Col 1.15; 2.9; Heb 4.15; 9.26).
The Holy Spirit
By nature, the Spirit of God possesses all the attributes of God and exists as one of the members of the trinity. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit regenerates, empowers us for a life of persevering faith, and sanctifies all those who believe in Jesus (John 14.16-17, 26; 15.26-27; 16.9-14).
Humanity
We believe that God created man in His own image to worship Him as they ruled and subdued the earth. However, Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden rebelled against the rule of God; consequently, all of humanity is now estranged from Him. The only way man can be reconciled and restored to full humanity is through faith in Jesus Christ.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is the work of God to bring men out of their state of spiritual deadness to their new life in Jesus. Only when men commit and trust their lives to Jesus and turn from their sins will this new life begin. This salvation will be finally granted when Jesus returns and delivers us from all of our enemies—sin, the devil, and death.
The Church
We believe the church is the redeemed community of God that encompasses all nations, tribes, and languages that God has called to himself. It is the mission of this church to both speak and shine the grace and love of Jesus to a hopeless world and to speak and shine Jesus for the encouragement and perseverance of the saints. The pastor/elder/overseer is to serve the body by equipping the saints to do the work of the ministry.
The Future
In short...Jesus wins. We believe that Jesus will return to judge all of the wicked and to reward all the righteous. He will judge the wicked by sending them to the Lake of Fire and reward the righteous with inheriting the new earth.
